Places You will DEFINITELY want to check out in Bruges Belgium

Bruges is known as the largest city in Belgium which is in the Flemish region of the West Flanders province of the country. The original name of the city was Bruges by the Sea; this historic city is now declared as a World Heritage Site. Things to Experience on your Excursion to Machu Picchu

When it comes to those who head to South America or Peru, a visit to Machu Picchu is an absolute must. This is regarded as the zenith of the trip. It is considered as the continent’s best-known archaeological site. When Spaniards conquered the country, they never came across this ancient city as it stayed hidden. And it rose to prominence only in the early 20th century. The peak season is from May to September. During the peak season, this ancient city garners 2500 visitors per day. Despite the tourist penetration, this ancient city has managed to retain its charm and mystery. If you ever visit Peru, then you must visit the famous Machu Picchu. Let’s take a look at the must-see tourist destinations in Machu Picchu below.

  • Machu Picchu historic sanctuary

As far as tickets are concerned, it is hard to come by. Tickets are not available most of the times. You can try for an advance ticket in Cusco. You are allowed to enter only until 4PM. You will be allowed to use a debit card for the online purchase.

  • Intipunku

The Inca Trail ends after the horizon named Intipunku. It simply means ‘sun gate.’ When you enter the ruins, you will be able to look back at the Intipunku and the trail. It is breathtaking view you don’t want to miss.

  • Intihuatana

We are talking about the carved rock pillar here. And it is often called (mistakenly, of course!) a sundial. What is the literal meaning of the word? It is roughly translated to the ‘hitching post of the sun.’

  • Phuyupatamarca

The ruins of Phuyupatamarca are situated 3600m above sea level. You will come across a lot of ceremonial baths here. You have camping facility over here. It is an excellent spot to enjoy the sunset.

  • Sacred Plaza

The Sacred Place with four sides is a very beautiful place. You will spot it above the ceremonial baths. You need to climb the stairs to reach there. You have to go through the quarry to finally reach there. You can get a peek of the beautiful Cordillera Vilcabamba from there. The view from here is magnificent.
